Course description

It is only possible to move into a subsidised flat under certain conditions. Therefore, an application for registration must be sent to the Office for Housing and Migration.

As part of the processing of your application, the individual space requirement (concept: 1 space per person, a different living-room is not offered) and the seriousness of the housing search will be identified. The seriousness is categorised on the basis of a points table. Depending on the level of earnings, registration is valid for a maximum of two years from the date of the decision.

During this duration, you can search for flats on SOWON and apply. The five candidates with the highest urgency will then get a written offer of lodging (nomination) with the contact information of the property managers to view the lodging. The proprietors then decide who gets the flat.

    Processing time

    We process all applications one after the other. Due to the large number of applications received, processing times can unfortunately take around 6 months. We will process your application as rapidly as possible.

    Fees and charges

    No costs are charged for processing the application. If a flat is effectively discovered, a confirmation cost of 25 euros will be charged.
